Deputy Mayor of Rockhampton Regional Council, Cr Rose Swadling is a sincere and strong voice in our community, having worked for this region for more than 30 years as a volunteer within the community, and for 18 years as a local government Councillor.

Cr Swadling's motto of "Working together, we will achieve" is not just words, it's the way Rose lives and serves - working alongside her community to bring about results.

Rose believes that no problem is too small. Going the extra mile, and responding to every individual or group who goes to her with a concern, are her trademarks.

Together with her husband Graham, she works at the very grassroots of our community where no contribution is too small.

As an active member of many organisations Rose keeps her finger on the community pulse!

• Patron Area Coordination Neighbouthood Watch (Area 1) North Rockhampton
• Patron Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland, Rockhampton
• Chair of Volunteers without Borders
• Past President and active member of Rockhampton Mt Archer Lions
• Member of Capricorn Citizen Advocacy Inc.
• Patron Community supporting Police
