Councillors Discretionary Funds

Availability Statement

The Mayor and Councillors of Rockhampton Regional Council have been allocated the following Discretionary Funds for use in assisting eligible community organisations across the Region:

Mayor                          $10,000.00
Councillors                  $5,000.00 ea

The Councillor’s Discretionary Funds will provide “one-off” grants to not-for-profit associations for projects that:

  • provide a benefit to the broader community;
  • do not form part of the Council Capital Works Program.

Councillors have the discretion of allocating those funds to not-for-profit associations in accordance with the Community Grants Policy and the criteria as set out in the Community Grants Procedure – Councillor’s Discretionary Funds.

Community organisations wishing to apply for funds should make a written application, setting out the details of the request and its purpose, to the Councillor whose support they seek.  Letters can be addressed to an address nominated by the Councillor or to the Councillor C/- Rockhampton Regional Council, PO Box 1860, Rockhampton Qld 4700.

Applications for funds from the Councillor’s Discretionary Funds will close on 31 March 2012.
